And it seems the Fearless artist's good fortune has spilled over into 2010, as she nabbed the People's Choice Award for Favorite Female Artist during Wednesday's (January 6) ceremony.. Decked in a strapless white Jenny Packham dress, the 20-year-old beat out Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Pink and Beyoncé (sorry, Kanye!) for the statuette.."Thank you.. What a beautiful, beautiful way to start out a new decade," Swift said, accepting her award to a standing ovation in the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. "Thank you so much.. I want to thank the fans.. You're the ones who choose which songs on the radio you want to turn up and blast from your car speakers..
"And you're the ones who choose which concerts you want to go see.. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing to give me this award.. This is my first People's Choice Award.. Thank you so much.. Thank you.."
Swift's ex-boyfriend and "Valentine's Day" co-star Taylor Lautner was among the nominees in attendance at the ceremony.. When the "Twilight" star scored the award for Favorite Breakout Actor, Swift and her mother Andrea graciously stood to applaud his win.. Swift was nominated in two other categories: Favorite Country Artist, which went to Carrie Underwood, and Favorite Pop Artist, which went to Lady Gaga..
Congratulations Taylor Swift for you first win on People's Choice Awards and for 2010.. Hopefully this year will be more great that last year.. Love You Taylor Swift..
